Environmental Photodegradable Plastic Film (EPPF)
EPPF can degrade into small pieces of less than 44cm2 or even disappear after fulfilling the function of normal plastic film if it is exposed to sunlight. While for those films buried in the soil is, the molecular weight is reduced. Its degradable speed can be adjusted according to local climate, cropping system and soil management. Therefore, applying EPPF can effectively reduce pollution which caused by film residue. Compared with open field culture, the yield of sugarcane mulched with EPPF increases by 12-15 t/ha, and the sucrose content increases by 0.3-1.0% (absolute value). EPPF can be used on all crops.
